It has already been 7 days since I came here. My life is in a mass, but I tell myself: Cecilia, cheer up! This is a journey filled with responsibility. Though nobody pay any special expectation to me, what I do will determine what I could learn, so I have to do better!
Some details in the international exchange might change something. I didn’t believe in it before, but now I begin to believe it.
If the internal relation, to some extent, was a kind of real internal relationship, and then what we were doing now was really make sense! Sino-US Project, love the life like this!Love you to give so many Aha and Shock Moment!
Preparation of the workshop: Close exchange makes a bigger difference.
Yesterday afternoon came the Sino-US Exchange. As an organizer of the core team, I was so excited to be at the workshop. Then I had an intense feeling: We really had too little time, which was even not enough for us to suffer from the pain brought by the cultural differences.
I loved Jared’s speech so much! He said in the end: “Our American friends care about this exchange, just as we do.” His speech, which was totally designed for our questions that we put forward before, cleared up all our confusion and gave us a better understanding to American policy system.
What’s more, this exchange was not just based on a passion. Next time facing the policy problems about American climate change, I would ask if I could help instead of condemning others of doing nothing. Talking about how to fix the problems always makes more sense than criticizing it.
So, I thought the preparation of the workshop more interesting. I was lucky to be with these delegates before we got into the exchange. We were together, not only because of the campaign.
Shared Action:It was not a piece of cake.
I changed a lot during the Shared Action. I learnt how difficult it was to have a good negotiation based on real unified opinions. Benefiting all was really very difficult, which was hard for people to realize.
I loved what BoRa said in the comment: “Now that it’s cooperation, you should not stress too much on your own opinions. We should split the difference and also give others an opportunity to receive it. Only in this way can we improve together!
And I also loved what Holly said: “Do you know? It is the process that really makes sense!”
Tougher Process Better Choice
Today, I went to listen the meeting regarding China. The meeting room was filled with people, fully enough to prove that Chinese problems are under world’s concerns.
After the meeting, I was lucky to have interviewed the Minister Gao Li. It was natural for us to be excited when we gained the affirmation of the authority. It, more or less, meant that we had successfully drawn their attention. Based on this affirmation, we could do better!
Later, he said that he was always supportive towards Sino-US Youth Exchange because young people were with more creativity, and since we had less limitation, we could find new solutions towards those problems. At the meantime, he insisted that we should not only maintain the good relationship with American delegates, but also pay the same attention to our relationship with other countries.
Gao Li’s speech may be a kind of foresight of a politician: Tougher Process Better Choice. We are looking forward to this better choice!!!Aha!
My dear Minister Gao Li, hope we could meet again!
